Salesforce Acquires ClickSoftware

A global cloud CRM leader Salesforce.com, Inc. signed a definitive agreement to acquire Israeli-founded field service software provider ClickSoftware. 

ClickSoftware is one of the largest service management companies globally which offers management solutions for optimized field services delivery. With this buyout, Salesforce will strengthen its Field Service Lightning and introduce even better intelligence into customer service. Salesforce Field Service Lightning is built on Service Cloud and empowers companies to connect their entire service workforce on one platform. The combined capabilities of Field Service Lightning and ClickSoftware promise to enhance the future of field service.

Over 15,400 customers including the industry leaders like Bosch, Deutsche Telekom, Vodafone and Ericsson already optimize service interaction with ClickSoftware by utilizing an all-inclusive suite of apps for tablets and smartphones. According to Salesforce, The acquisition of ClickSoftware will create strategic synergies, technological unity and new innovation opportunities for Salesforce to better meet the needs of existing and new customers around the world by providing one seamless field service solution.”

The acquisition of ClickSoftware is the next big step in widening Salesforce’s portfolio after Griddable, MapAnything and Bonobo AI. Recently, the company has also acquired self-service analytics platform Tableau.
